Villa No.1 in #Mazandaran, Iran By @didformat_studio [IG]@amirhossein__nourbakhsh [IG]: Villa No. 1 has been designed for a family of three in Mazandaran – North of Iran – on top of a humid green Hill. By forming the open and semi-open spaces and openings on the southern side of the building, itโ€™s been tried to throw more attention to the natural outdoor landscape and views of green nature down the hill and the surrounding jungles.

One of the things that impressed me the most on my travels through West Africa was the clay mosques: the toron scaffolding, the elements of Dogon architecture, the beauty of vernacular materials and know-how, and the low environmental impact.Lit by nothing but candles by night as congregants pray on the flat roof, these mosques are spectacular examples of vernacular forms of sacred architecture. This is a concept house loosely inspired by the mosques of West Africa. Featured are ablution rooms, libraries, open air and covered lounge spaces, with water features aplenty.Designer: @reverse.orientalism [IG]
